THE LORDSHIP OF OTAZU VISIT AND TASTING

The “Señorío de Otazu” visit lasts approximately 150 minutes around the winery, recognised in October 2020 as the “Best winery open to tourism” by ACEVIN.

It includes a walk through the historic Señorío de Otazu dating back to the Middle Ages, which is made up of a 12th century Romanesque church, a 14th century dovecote tower and the 16th century palace.

In its gardens you can see a collection of sculptures by internationally renowned artists, some of which have been designed especially for these spaces.
Next, we visit the Old Winery, converted into a historical museum and contemporary art space of the Otazu Foundation, which has been awarded the “A” Prize for Collecting 2020, awarded by the ARCO Foundation.

The tour continues in the winery’s new facilities, where the underground barrel room designed by Jaime Gaztelu, known as the Cathedral of Wine, an international architectural reference. The visit ends with a tasting of three wines, each paired with an elaborated pintxo.
